pillows. Creating a wonky folk house landscape that fit
nicely on an 18inch pillow was straightforward enough, the real difficulty was getting the rest of the 54 or 56inch wide fabrics to look good as seamlessly repeating yardage AND on the other home décor products! This limited color palette of Pine and Mint green with the optional inclusion of black and white also challenged me to reinterpret a favorite artistic theme. My off kilter childlike drawings have always been brightly colored. I wondered if it was at all possible to create an appealing wonky design with no red, yellow, blue, purple or orange, I didn’t think so but that’s why I enjoy being challenged by Spoonflower. When I saw the result I realized that working outside my comfort zone with only green, black and white produced a more sophisticated version and I liked it! This is one design available in the 'Pine and Mint Coordinates' Collection. copy and paste - https://www.spoonflower.com/collections/372804-pine-mint-coordinates-by-karendel NOTICE: As of 2024 links to my collections and designs may be broken due to Spoonflower’s policy changes. A link may still work but may take you to an empty collection because the website will be de-listing designs to offer fewer, making your shopping experience easier. Good news if your taste is commercially mainstream, run of the mill, but bad news if you tend to enjoy the less popular, more quirky original art or looking for designs that suit your personal niche interests. After all, vanilla is the most popular ice cream flavor, right?
